Are you looking for the perfect family fun day? Deciding where to go can often be difficult, especially when there are so many choices. Not to worry though! I have all the answers you need! Here are four awesome family activities near Joint Base Lewis- McChord:

1.Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

Who doesn’t love animals? Spend the day exploring this one of a kind attraction, where there is truly an endless amount of things to do. Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium has it all! As you adventure through, you’ll see peacocks and polar bears, wolves and walruses, sharks and seahorses, and more! Throughout your experience, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in daily animal presentations, get eye-to-eye with sharks, and enjoy gorgeous views of Puget Sound, Olympic Mountain, and Mount Rainier. At this fun and affordable park, you’re sure to find exciting activities for everyone  in the family to enjoy!

2. Charlie’s Safari Family Fun Center

Stop by this awesome 22,000 square foot facility, where the fun never stops! This locally owned indoor play center is great for children of all ages, and even has a parent lounge. Every parent needs a break right?! Charlie’s Safari features bounce houses, a 3,000 sq ft. full encased play structure, Big Game Hunt Laser tag, Big Five Tykes Village for the littles ones, and arcade games for all ages! All that playing can sure make you hungry. Head over to Watering Hole Restaurant, located conveniently inside Charlie’s Safari!

3. Hands On Children’s Museum

Open 7 days a week, this wonderful museum is the perfect place for family fun day! Known for being the “Best Family Entertainment” around, you and your child can explore and learn all in the same place. This outdoor discover center offers a learning experience of a lifetime, featuring sensory play, special events, and programs for the whole family.

4. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge

Spend time getting in touch with nature, as you learn all about wildlife and explore it with your very own eyes! The refuge is full of different trails, and observation decks, both of  which offer a ton of wildlife sightings. Take a self guided walk or explore with a ranger! Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is a bit more low key, perfect for a relaxing day with the family!
