\n\tOftentimes, our lives are so hectic that we don’t stop to take notice of others. But who remembers the days when going over to your neighbors house and ringing the doorbell was completely normal? Now, in the age of digital, we constantly resort to other types of communication. If you want to switch things up and get to know your neighbors, we’ve got some solid suggestions for you. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n\t\t\tEvery Ultris community, including <\/span>The Madison<\/span><\/a>, has a pool, clubhouse and fitness center. All of these places are public places and offer residents the opportunity to get to know each other. If you’re stopping by for your morning caffeine fix, you’ll likely see a member of your community. Strike up a conversation with them and see what you can learn.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tDo you have a child? If not, how about a pet? Each Ultris community is pet friendly. If you see another person with a dog, set up a dog play date. This way your pet can have fun playing with a companion and you can meet someone new without being too aggressive. If you have children, this is another great opportunity to make friends. If you see another family at the playground or out for a walk, be friendly and smile! People can be nicer than you think. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tDid you notice a new resident move in close to you? How great would it have been to be greeted by another resident your first day in your new community? Go over and introduce yourself. You don’t have to do it right away, but show your face and let them know that you live close by if they ever need anything or want to hang out. If you want to win a golden star for best neighbor, bake them something! Remember those days? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \n\t\t\tDo you notice someone leaving The Madison around the same time as you each morning to head to base? How about introducing yourself and suggesting a carpool? This is a great way to make new friends and save money! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \nAs you can see, there are certainly ways to interact with your neighbors, you just have to be willing to make that effort. If you don’t put yourself out there, you won’t get to meet new friends. People won’t think you’re weird or bizarre for reaching out and attempting to be friendly.
